🚚 SHIPPING & DELIVERY POLICY – DESI BARTAN

At DESI BARTAN, we understand the cultural and emotional value of traditional cookware. Our shipping process is engineered to ensure that these artisanal, often fragile, clay and bronze items reach your doorstep in pristine condition. By placing an order with DESI BARTAN, you agree to the logistics and delivery terms outlined below.

1. ORDER FULFILLMENT & PROCESSING TIME

All orders are subjected to a rigorous internal quality audit before dispatch.

  • Processing Window: Standard orders are processed within 1 to 2 business days.

  • Special Handling: Since clay cookware requires a specialized "Protective Cushioning" process, certain large orders may require an additional 24 hours for secure crating.

  • Order Cut-off: Orders placed after 4:00 PM PKT will be processed on the following business day.

2. SHIPPING RATES & PREMIUM OFFERS

We strive to keep our shipping costs transparent and competitive across Pakistan.

  • Standard Nationwide Shipping: A flat fee of PKR 250 is applied to all domestic orders.

  • Tiered Free Shipping: We are pleased to offer COMPLIMENTARY FREE SHIPPING on all orders exceeding PKR 8,999. This threshold is calculated based on the subtotal after any discounts and before taxes.

  • Promotional Shipping: From time to time, DESI BARTAN may offer shipping promotions, which will be governed by specific terms announced at the time of the offer.

3. ESTIMATED DELIVERY TIMELINES

While we partner with the most reliable courier services in Pakistan, delivery times are estimates and cannot be guaranteed.

  • Major Cities (Lahore, Karachi, Islamabad, Sialkot): 3 to 4 working days.

  • Other Cities & Towns: 4 to 6 working days.

  • Remote or Rural Areas: Up to 7-9 working days.

  • Force Majeure: DESI BARTAN is not liable for delays caused by external factors such as extreme weather, political strikes, roadblocks, or courier technical issues.

4. THE "SAFE-TRANSIT" PACKAGING STANDARD

Unlike standard retail items, DESI BARTAN products (especially our Non-Glazed Clay Handis) are porous and fragile.

  • Multi-Layer Shield: Every item is wrapped in high-density bubble wrap, followed by corrugated cardboard shielding, and finally placed in a heavy-duty outer box.

  • Fragile Labeling: All parcels are clearly marked with "Fragile: Handle with Care" and "This Side Up" indicators to guide courier personnel.

5. SHIPMENT TRACKING & COORDINATION

Transparency is key to our service.

  • Digital Tracking: Once your order leaves our Sialkot facility, a Tracking ID will be dispatched to your registered mobile number and email address.

  • Courier Interaction: Our courier partners will typically make three attempts to deliver. If the customer is unavailable, the parcel may be returned to our warehouse, and a re-shipping fee will apply.

6. RISK OF LOSS & UNBOXING PROTOCOL

  • Transfer of Title: According to standard e-commerce laws, the "Risk of Loss" and title for the products pass to the customer once the item is handed over to the shipping carrier.

  • Mandatory Unboxing Video: To protect your purchase against transit damage, we strictly require customers to record a continuous, unedited unboxing video. This video serves as the primary evidence for any damage claims (as detailed in our Refund Policy). Without this video, DESI BARTAN reserves the right to deny replacement claims.

7. INCORRECT ADDRESSES & UNDELIVERABLE PARCELS

The customer is responsible for providing an accurate and complete shipping address (including House No, Street, Landmark).

  • Address Correction: If you notice an error in your address, notify us within 2 hours of order placement via WhatsApp (+92 324 9603820).

  • Return-to-Sender: If a parcel is returned due to an incorrect address or refusal at the doorstep, the original shipping cost and the return shipping fee will be deducted from any potential refund.

8. INTERNATIONAL SHIPPING
